What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

It is always important to know the date, location, start/finish times and number of guest expected. This allows us to confirm availability, establish how many speakers will be required and enable us to provide the best quote for the service.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would firstly search online, read the reviews left by previous customers. If the reviews are okay, I would recommend visiting their social media pages to see what sort of events they do, and if necessary, ask them to send you pictures/videos of events similar to the one your booking for. Never assume anything, always ask as many questions as possible; e.g. what time will the setup begin, what is included, what optional extras can I add, can we make requests on the day? Everything agreed must be in contract form (invoice) to ensure both parties are fully aware of what is expected. Please note that an expensive DJ service does not always mean the best DJ service!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have always been the designated DJ at family events from a young age. I started taking DJing seriously during my College years, playing at house parties, local bars, and my University's Student Clubs. I have always wanted to have my own DJ service to showcase my skills, and provide the very best service for special occasion of all sorts. In addition, I have always wanted to help others to get into the trade by providing DJ systems to newbies at low costs to enable recognition to practice their skills and passion.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Where do I start. Whether it's a street party, 18th Birthday or a wedding for 300 people; I can't imagine anything as straightforward as bookings through Add to Event. The most recent booking was for a Wedding in Farringdon for 80 guests. We worked closely with the organisers to perfect the playlist for the evening, arranging timings for speeches, cake cutting and first dance to ensure that the Bride and Groom had the best time of their lives. I actively recommend Add to Event to all of my peers in the industry, and will continue to spread the word.
