DJNI are one of the most exciting DJ services in Northern Ireland and have provided music and sound for many types of events and occasions that have even taken them as far afield as the USA and Canada. Here tell us about themselves and offer tips for when hiring a DJ for your event.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to fully price your event, we need to know approximately where the event will be, the type of event and if it will be indoors or outdoors.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When considering your event, we would ask you to consider the type of music you wish to use and the guests it's aimed at, accessibility for guests, ourselves (should you book) and other suppliers. Top of the range sound equipment and lighting is a must so make sure whoever you go with, it's up to scratch. Adequate public liability insurance from all suppliers is a definite!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

At DJNI we have always been involved in music and other Ceilidh style events, with the equipment sitting spare it made sense to expand into DJ'ing family and corporate events. We have had some excellent bookings ranging from law firms, radio stations and shopping centres. I have a passion for music, quality and attention to detail.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event have been a huge help in getting DJNI off the ground. We have had numerous successful bookings now and are very pleased with it as a means of getting business. The first one, I remember well was for an outdoor wedding anniversary in Co. Antrim. We had a blast as it was during the 2018 heatwave and the organisers put in a lot of effort for the night. Superb!
