What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, the venue address and access arrangements and whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. We also advise to ask whether certain effects can be used like smoke or haze machines. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list and bespoke package for your event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask the provider of the entertainment whether they have proven reviews from a third-party source and not from their own website. It is important to know this especially when there are many similarly priced entertainment businesses in the area. Also, ask whether they have full liability Insurance.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Beano Disco was started from the love of good music and entertainment. Ever since I was a lad I always wanted to be a DJ and entertain people, whether it was rock music, soul or disco. My passion for entertaining is proven by my 5 star reviews.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
