What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

The more information the better! What is the event - wedding, birthday, corporate, charity? From this I can tailor a package, or range of options based exactly on what you have planned. Where is the event? Venue, town, county. Is it indoors, outdoors, marquee? I can factor in any travelling charges and make I bring suitable equipment for the space. Guest numbers? Again, important for type of equipment needed and the nature of the options I'll offer.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would do as much research as possible into the provider. Don't restrict your investigation to the platform you have enquired on but have a really good look through the provider's website, social media profiles and any reviews. Not all singers, musicians, DJs are equal! Some will have years of experience and high-quality equipment, others the exact opposite! Again, time spent researching will be so beneficial.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started singing, DJing and hosting at weddings and events at the age of 19 and it has been my full-time job ever since. It's amazing how music can provide such joy and emotion creating lifelong memories. It's a privilege to be involved in something like a wedding and play such a pivotal role in making the day a success.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I've only been on the platform for around a month so only completed one booking to date. It was a 60th birthday dinner, where I was booked to sing some nice background while people were eating. After dinner I was asked to stay longer, for the rest of the evening, and had everyone up dancing around the tables! They weren't expecting a party atmosphere but that's usually how things end up when I'm around!!
