What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a detailed quote to a customer, ideally we need the date of the event, the event timings, an explanation of the event, estimated number of persons attending, including staff, the location, and any risks such as fire, racing, inflatables. We would ideally like if this is not your first event, an idea of the previous cover you have received. From this information, we can use our experience in sending you a complete quote for your event.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly ask the provider exactly what you would be getting from them, if they are only providing First Aiders then ask what qualifications do they hold as First Aid at Work is not suitable for events. The event medics should be at least trained to one of the recognised Pre Hospital Care qualifications such as FREC Level 3, or First Person on Scene Intermediate, or equivalent. Also ask what equipment is included in the quote as some providers charge extra for treatment centres, AEDs and other essential equipment that should be included. Finally, ask the provider for their experience and request references from previous clients.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Triple L Training & Medical Ltd was started by 2 brothers who had both had lots of experience and passion for providing first aid and safety training along with Event Medical cover. We started off in 2009 with a small number of staff to support us and have grown since then. My passion has been providing a great service to our clients which would translate into repeat business, which has been true for some of our clients, some have used us for the past 9 years.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We are new to Add to Event and looking forward to our first booking. We have submitted our second quote which was easy to do and straightforward. The platform gives event companies brief information on the event and then passes over contact details when a quote is submitted. I would recommend to others.
