What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and a potential venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list and design. If there is a specific budget this is very useful in being able to suggest the right products.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would say to ensure your supplier is attentive, responsive and knows all about their product. They should be able to answer your queries and have plenty of images of what they are providing.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

O.R. Butterfly Events are a family run business who started up after realising how hard it was to find a supplier who could offer a large number of products, be responsive to emails and have transparent pricing. Before the business started, we organised corporate events, networking and seminars and planned weddings and really enjoy bringing a client's vision to life. We continue to do this whilst also providing the hire services and mobile bar offerings to allow clients to speak to one contact, have one deposit and one delivery fee :-)

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have recently joined (last week) and have already confirmed a significant number of bookings. Such a great way to meet organisers.
