What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For a full quote on response ideally, I will need the following information, a wedding/event date, a brief explanation of the type of event you are hosting, the estimated number of guests, budget, potential venue. From this information, I can best give a tailored quote to your requirements.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Some advice I would give when looking to hire a provider speaks to them on the phone. This way you are able to see if you will get along during the planning stages and it allows no mistakes to happen. Sometimes things can be misinterpreted in an email so speaking on the phone is always best I say!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
My name is Rachel and I have been working in the event industry for around 12 years now. I am very passionate about affordable wedding/event planning and believe everyone should have access to this service. I work closely with my clients to ensure their experience with Shikamo is one to remember and their event is a success.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have had quite a few bookings through Add to Event both weddings and non-wedding events. All so far have been a success (Yipee!) and I couldn't recommend the platform enough to find the right planner for your needs. I would love to hear more about the event you are wanting to plan and hope that I can make something work for everyone involved.
