What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a client ideally we need as much information as possible; event date, the estimated number of guests, the type of event, whether or not they have a venue in mind, and if they have seen any images or ideas as to the vision they hope to achieve; photos are always useful to gain the best idea of what they like and are imagining for their event.
We can then work on a bespoke proposal with further ideas and costings.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check out the supplier's entire range of event work, not necessarily just the type of event you are planning. Select event managers who like a challenge, and ultimately want to surpass your expectations; those who take pride in their work and like to shout about it. Ensure that they are balanced in the areas of styling an event as well as organising and working with external suppliers. Ask for a contract agreement if they don't provide one as standard.

Shropshire Events is made up of unapologetic eventistes with a passion for creating not only a well-styled, 'wow effect' event but a well-organised one.
As a team our strengths of being creative, resourceful and organised come together to understand our client's needs and allow for all aspects of the event to be managed in the best possible way.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We organised a fantastic joint 25th masquerade party in Clitheroe for 100 guests. We managed the event from prop hire to balloon walls, bespoke bars to masquerade centrepieces; and the client was blown away.
We worked against the torrential rain and abhorrent weather to achieve the client's ultimate 25th party, and we all have Add to Event to thank for that.
