What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer we need to know the date and time of the event, a brief description of the type of event, how many guests will be attending, where the venue is, indoor or outdoor, how many hours I would be required for, plus any theme if relevant. From this we can give a give an accurate quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I think the best thing for my sort of business is to get some examples of the work they have done, roughly how many faces can be done in an hour, if a theme can be followed.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Emma-ginative faces started a year ago after finally deciding to do face painting professionally after years of doing it voluntarily. I am an artistic person and love the artistry of face painting. In recent years it has become more of an art form, not just something to entertain the children, as adults are also joining in with having their faces painted, including doing face painting at wedding receptions. Obviously seeing how happy children are after they have their faces painting is a lovely part of the job too.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I would definitely recommend Add to Event to others. It has helped me get most of my jobs since I joined last year, which included my first party which was a 50th party. I have 2 weddings booked this year, a charity event and a local face paint for the sailing club. I am always getting new jobs to quote for every week. I would not have got the work I have had without Add to Event.
