To enable Powwow Face Painting to provide an accurate quotation for an event we need to know the date, performance time, location and estimated number of guests attending. Additionally is it an indoor or outdoor event and is there a particular theme to enable our artists to offer designs to reflect the theme?
Finally if we can have an idea of what budget is available we can offer packages which are suited to
the clients costs.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Powwow advise that when booking a face painter or balloon modeller the client can make a well
informed choice by firstly looking at the providers website/social media pages. This will indicate not only the quality of their work but also their appearance, the type of venues/events they frequently
attend and customer reviews. It is also advisable to ask what Health & Safety measures are taken
such as public liability insurance, CRB checks & Risk Assessments. Finally what hygiene controls are practiced such as one face painting sponge used per child, not painting children who have eczema
or chicken pox and always using the correct face painting kits and face painting stencils where appropriate. In the case of balloon modelling only blowing and cutting balloons with the correct equipment and not by mouth.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Powwow Face Painting was founded 17 years ago by Mandy, She has always been artistic and
realised her dream when she started face painting for her daughter's Junior school fayres. Since
those early years the family business customer base has grown to include large blue chip companies such as Alton Towers, Samsung, Aston Villa etc as well as private sector clients for birthdays,
weddings, christenings and anniversaries. We are proud to say that quality and customer service are at the forefront of our business ethics.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

One particular booking we received through Add to Event was for a community centre celebrating
the Queen's Birthday. Malcolm, our Mix & Mingle Balloon Modeller, dressed in a Union Jack waistcoat and dickie-bow with matching red trousers a blue shirt to fit in with the clients event theme. He then proceeded to provide marvelous red, white and blue balloon sculptures for young and old. The
client said he really made the event a special day to remember.
