What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We would need to know the following in order for us to provide a quote or have enough information for us to know if their request is something we can help with.
Is this a paid booking or is the customer expecting us to donate time for exposure?
Is this an agency or private booking
How many hours do they want
Where is the booking to be held
What date is this booking, or if there is no specific date please say so
How many children/Adults will be there or at least a best guess.
What budget do they have available?
I also would need them to understand that if their booking is over a certain mileage then travel costs would be added.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would ask them when choosing a face painter to ensure their PL insurance is valid, and that they have seen examples of their on the job work. Some painters provide studio pictures that have taken in the region of half an hour to do one face and they wouldn't be doing those types of paintings on the job.
I would ask them to understand what experience their painter has of dealing with crowds, first time children, and children with any special needs, I am able to sign, using some BSL and take extra time to ensure the child sitting on my chair or passing through our booth in a wheelchair is given as much time as they need to ensure they enjoy their painting experience with us.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started my business as there were no other painters in the Midlands who could provide the special services we do. We offer quality painting using top quality products whilst assuring our mums and bookers that we will ALWAYS turn up. o many painters let people down at the last minute and have no commitment to the booking. We contract all our bookings and always have a top-quality network of painters we can call on should anyone show signs of being ill or having cold/flu symptoms. We would provide an alternative painter for their booking of similar or better quality and ensure they were happy with their alternative arrangements. However, we have not in 26 years let anyone down yet and we do not intend starting now. Customer Service is our TOP priority.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I've had several bookings through Add to Event and with each one the bookers have been over the moon with what we have proviced. Very often we are able to slot in at the last minute because others have let them down and they've been glad they've been able to book with us. We do not aim to be the cheapest but we know that EVERY booking made through us will be given the same high quality of service and attention that they deserve. We've been with Add to Event for some time now, and although we do not get lots of bookings, the quality of these are lovely and very often end up being repeat customers. We are used to providing teams of painters for larger events and sometimes it is nice to be able to paint at a small birthday party, as this reminds me of when I first started painting for my Daughters parties when she was little and being the coolest mum on the playground. 3 world speed records and various world awards later - we are still going strong with a reputation that we are proud of.
