This allows us to get any extra information from the venue that we require, depending upon the type of event and services required this can be quite a lot - fireworks and discos both need different risk assessments for example and the venue can provide a lot of information that the customer would not know. Many people think providing a budget will mean they get quoted the top value but in fact it allows us to only provide quotes for services within your budget. Finally, things can always be altered and we cannot understate the importance of speaking with a customer first.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Before booking anything, always speak to the supplier. Whether this is on the phone or in person it really is important as it gives you both an opportunity to get any queries answered. If you have confidence that your supplier understands your requirements you will not have those worries to contend with. Always check whether you supplier is fully insured and what experience they have in the services you want. Any supplier should be able to provide details of this and about their experience.

Glitter Events was started after working in different fields for many years - we have experience in fireworks, DJ, hospitality, corporate and public service events to name but a few. Bringing our collective experience together allows us to provide a dedicated point of contact who has the back-up of true experts in their own fields resulting in an event that exceeds your expectations.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

The Add to Event platform is growing and expanding, as well as providing leads for us. Bookings continue to come in and one in particular was a 60th birthday fireworks display which was a surprise to everyone at the party. The audience's reaction to the musical display coupled with the young lad starting it with the plunger was truly wonderful. All the feedback and reviews were really positive which maintains our ethos of exceeding the clients expectations.
