What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
There are only a few pieces of information we need to provide a quote for a food van. Obviously a date, time, location, number of portions and whether or not guests are paying themselves or the organiser is paying up front. It is also helpful to know what type of event it is and if there is any specific style of food or presentation they are looking for (ie vintage vans, British themed etc).
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Focus on the food! There are some very high quality options out there so it is worth making sure you are hiring someone quality. Food plays a huge part in your guests memories and experience of the event - it is a major talking point afterwards for them too so it is worth budgeting for it and aiming for the best!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We love British cafes but don't love the bad food! So after 10 years of being a London restaurant general manager we bought an old ambulance and created a quality mobile caterer that takes the best free-range ingredients, freshness and the service of US diners and applies something British to make a young, fresh, honest and versatile mobile all-day caterer you can rely on to create something special at your event.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I haven't actually had a booking yet but would be glad to update when I have! So far I think the platform is modern, concise and easy to use. I got a phone call from the team upon signing up so it's great to know there is a knowledgeable and helpful human element to the service too. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone!
