What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To be able to provide the customer with a comprehensive quote, ideally, we need an approximate location, assurance that the event will be indoors (due to the nature of our hire equipment) and the length of time the event will last. Any additional information such as the type of event you're having, an insight into your own ideas for the event - plus any conceivable logistical obstacles that might arise - would also help us greatly.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
In our opinion, it is important that the supplier be thorough in their communication. The more information the supplier is willing to divulge and the greater the lengths they're willing to go to provide an efficient service shows them to be both flexible and trustworthy.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
It was with 10 years of working in event planning and equipment hire, married with my love of all things retro that had inspired me to create R-Cade Hire. My philosophy is that if you're passionate about something, then that passion becomes infectious - if I'm excited by my products and my service then my clients will be too!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
My favourite event through Add to Event so far has been for a surprise 40th Birthday Party. Our client only had the thought of hiring from us at the last minute - she was excited yet anxious. We arrived nice and early to put her mind at ease.
The Birthday boy was overjoyed with the product as it brought back a lot of memories from his youth, but, moreover, his wife, our client, was surprised with how his friends barely left the Arcade Machine alone for the entire evening.
As with any event, it was the client's appreciation and words of gratitude which made it all worthwhile.
