What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For an accurate quote, there are just a few things that we need to know. Firstly we need the location and date and time the event will take place, and most importantly the size of the setup they require which can be anything from a few consoles and televisions to 30+. The last detail we need is to know how long they require our services. After receiving all of these details we are able to let the potential customer know the exact cost and what extras we can supply.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If you know exactly what you're looking for we are happy to supply it, however, most of our customers are not entirely sure what would be popular or suitable for a specific event. Our years as a company have given us a good idea of which consoles and extra services would work well within the event type. This could be the difference between using our light up cases for dark locations such as nightclubs, making sure the games are suitable for child-friendly events or possibly live streaming to be able to show people from all over the world what is happening at the event.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We initially started our company by doing a 24-hour charity gaming marathon for a local hospital after I lost my nana. It was our way of saying thank you to the staff for looking after her so well before she passed, and this has now turned into an annual event which grows each year and is live-streamed to gain extra donations. From this, we have been contacted by comic cons, large industries such as YouTube, wedding couples and lots of others to showcase our love of gaming all over England.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Having just joined Add to Event we haven't yet had a booking but are looking forward to sharing our passion with anyone and everyone. I believe just as it has done for us so far, our first booking will bring in lots of new customers as people find the events we cater to more than just games to sit and play, we bring a whole atmosphere along with it. From using customised videos on VHS tapes to gaming-related music supplied by those big in the gaming music industry and the support we gain from local communities, we help others just as much as others help us.
