What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote, the basics we need to know are the venue and event date. Other information that is really helpful is to know the approximate timings of an event, how many guests are expected, what the occasion is and a general plan of the event (food, other entertainment etc.). This is helpful as it enables us to provide not only a full quote, but also advises us on table positioning if we've been to a venue before and how the casino may run depending on your event type.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would always advise someone thinking of hiring a fun casino for their event, to always book a specific fun casino supplier. Anyone can buy casino tables, but it requires very specifically trained staff to ensure that the games run professionally. It's also good to check photos of equipment that will be used for your event, feedback from customers that have already used the service and ask for Public Liability Insurance as any professional company should be able to supply this.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Blackjack Fun Casino Limited was set up back in 2010 by Dave and Louise Atkins. We met 20 years ago, whilst working as croupiers in a casino in London and also both have previous experience in hospitality and customer service industries - so a fun casino company seemed the ideal business for us. We pride ourselves on providing the very best in fun casino entertainment, and ensure that every guest at an event goes away having had a fun and enjoyable time.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event is working really well for our business and we've had several bookings through the platform.
Our most recent booking through Add to Event, was for a wedding at Breadsall Priory in Derbyshire. It was a relatively small, intimate reception, with just 46 guests where we provided after dinner entertainment. There was a lot of banter between the groom's friends, as to who was the best player (and who'd lost the most in fun money). The bride's grandmother ended up winning the bottle of bubbly at the end of the night! We've just been booked by one of the bridesmaids at the wedding, who has booked us for her 30th birthday in the summer.
