Holly Hewat is the lead singer of a party band and a solo female vocalist. The party band, otherwise known as ‘Generation Groove’ are top-notch providing music to get people off their seats and onto the dance floor. Their set-list is guaranteed to suit the eclectic demands of the modern-day music tastes; from Pop to Rock.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a quote, we like to know as much detail about the day as you're able to give. Information such as estimated budget, event date and time, location, event type, roughly how many attendees and lastly what sort of music you're looking for are key components to us providing you with a comprehensive quote and helping you to build your ideal event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you're looking to hire a band, it's always useful to find out what sort of music they provide - if it's not your bag, never be afraid to request songs and collaborate. Always remember, this event is your special day and we want to help to make it as great as you do!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We started gigging in pubs and bars but found ourselves doing more and more weddings and private events as time went on, these are always a blast, and it's a joy to be part of some really special days. The lead singer of the band, Holly, started off as a Jazz singer and the instrumentalists, Dan, Will and Chris all began as metal/rock musicians.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
There have been many bookings through this platform that we have really loved, the great thing about Add To Event is the variety of requests, you never know what you'll get through next! We were hired for several jubilee events recently and we have been invited back by the same client for a festival which has been great for securing occurring bookings. I always recommend Add To Event to my fellow musicians as we always secure the best gigs through the website!
