Gee Gee's Bar offers a bespoke service to provide a friendly and professional mobile bar for all occasions from their vintage horsebox that has been lovingly restored and converted. They also offer some advice when looking to hire a mobile bar for your event.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To enable us to provide a comprehensive quote we ideally need the date of the event, a brief description of the type of event being hosted, the estimated number of guests and any potential venues and if it’s indoor or outdoor. Armed with this info we can then put together a price and any design ideas to help enhance your event for example themed drinks packages.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly as your potential providers if there is a minimum spend charge? We don’t run this policy but many bars will operate this way. Check what standard of service they provide, you wouldn’t take your date to a black tie event dressed in ripped jeans and vest!! Smart attire and professionalism are a must! Also, check equipment and insurances, these can be pivotal for a smooth running event.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Gee Gee’s Bar started life as a project to test my carpentry and DIY skills which were passed down to me over the years by my Grandad Bill. After many cold dark wintry nights working outside it soon became apparent that I couldn’t bear to part with the finished article. From that day on Gee Gee’s Mobile Bar was born and has grown ever since. We are a small family business which has brought our family closer together and offers a service which we can be proud to put our family name to.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We are quite new to Add to Event but have had a great review from a 21st birthday party we did so using this platform has been successful so far!
