Oliver's is a family run mobile bar company based in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire. They offer mobile bar service, wedding reception drinks packages and dry hire, covering a 50-mile service area of London and the home counties.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide an accurate quote, our team require the event date, number of guests, location of event, type of bar, location of the bar (indoors or outdoors) and the type of service required; This could be a cash bar, wedding reception drinks or a dry hire bar. It is also good to include whether drinks will be paid for by guests or by the organiser. With this information at hand, our team can provide a quote for your perfect service.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Anyone can open a bottle, so in addition to ensuring that a drinks menu is comprehensive, assess the supplier's commitment to customer service and the client journey. Most will provide a "ready to go" bar hire service, but the devil is in the detail. A great supplier will tailor their services to the bespoke requirements of the client and know that no two services are the same. The more details and requirements that are shared, the better the supplier can tailor their services to suit your needs.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

It's always fascinated us how so many hospitality venues get the fundamentals of hospitality so wrong. A smiling face, a warm welcome and top-notch service...it's simple.
While at a family wedding, having been ignored and grunted at across the bar, enough was enough. Surely this is not how a wedding should be remembered?! With our own humble beginnings in cocktail waiting and hospitality, we founded our family business, Oliver's, with a relentless commitment to providing exceptional service. We put customer consultations and relationship building at the heart of our service and are proud to call many of our clients friends.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We've met some wonderful clients through Add to Event, with many weddings and events in the diary for the year ahead. One highlight of ours through Add to Event was a wedding in Canvey Island on a scorching hot day last year. While there some gorgeous pictures of the bar against the backdrop of a breathtaking sunset, what made this event particularly memorable was that Oliver's delivered the entire service via QR code table service, during the government's stage 3 of lockdown lifting 2021. Customer's used their mobile devices to order and pay via an app and we were absolutely delighted with the feedback we received and the review from the client. We have retained QR code ordering today as an option for wedding breakfasts.
