What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote for the hire of one of our hot tubs we would require the date, location and age range of those who would be using the hot tub along with the expected numbers attending the event. We can advise on suitable locations for the hot tub to be set up if provided with information such as location of electric power sockets and the supply of water.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would ask whether the hot tub is a solid hot tub or an inflatable tub which are sometimes passed off as a solid tub when in actual fact they simply have solid sides but the internals are inflatable. If you require a large solid hot tub check the dimensions. Most solid tubs are 1.8 metres in diameter but are cramped for more than four users but most events are for larger numbers. A hot tub for more than four users should be 2 metres in diameter and although an extra 20cm doesn't sound a great deal it will fit double the number of users. As these larger hot tubs require a specialised vehicle to transport and two persons to set up they are less popular with hire companies than the smaller 1.8 metre tubs which will fit in a standard vehicle and can be set up by one person.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

My passion has always been to provide a service that customers will try and hopefully use again. We identified a gap in the market where rather than the high cost of purchasing and maintaining a quality hot tub many our of our clients would rather hire for important celebrations and not have the hassle of maintaining and repairing a hot tub which is only used a few times a year.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Of all the platforms we have used to receive enquiries for our hot tub service we have found over many years that Add to Event provides the most consistent and perhaps more importantly high quality customers who go on to hire our hot tubs. I can't think of one particular booking that stands out from the hundreds we have taken but I do know we have many returning clients who value our service after our initial contact through Add to Event.
