What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We try to fit in with what our customers envisage but as we only use proper solid hot tubs our access dimensions aren't flexible - so whether we come in via a side gate or a front door the key thing is that we have enough room to manoeuvre the hot tub the whole way from the road to where the hot tub is to be located. Power and water are important too, of course, we need a tap and regular domestic 240v power. Mileage can affect our final cost.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hot tubs come in two basic types - (a) the proper solid tubs with seating and powerful water jets and (b) the cheap fun paddling pool versions with cold air fans. Make sure you know what you want and expect to pay accordingly. Solid best for adults and party use, the latter being suitable for a few kids on a warm afternoon. The plus point with the cheap ones is that access isn't a problem but still check they clean it properly and set it up for you.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We knew people enjoyed hot tub experiences with their friends but not everyone had space for one to be in their garden permanently and they didn't want the hassle or expense of year-round cleaning and maintenance. It looked like parties and family occasions would be popular - and we were right! We learned about how to operate hot tubs three years ago and started the business soon after. We have gradually got busier, attracting lots of repeat business.
