Ice Cream Dreams
Ice Cream Dreams provide traditional ice cream bicycles for weddings and events throughout Cambridgeshire and beyond. With options including dairy ice cream, frozen yoghurt or sorbet - there is something for everyone. All items served from the 1940s vintage bicycles are sourced locally, such as from the award-winning Denetts Creamery. All staff are trained in food hygiene and dressed appropriately for each event to ensure they give your guests the best experience possible.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To provide an all inclusive quote we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event, the estimated number of guests, and the venue. The is no VAT to add to the quote as we are not VAT registered.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Every year we have to 'rescue' someone who has been let down by their provider. Please ask about previous experience, if they are registered with their local council and fully covered by insurance. Also from where they source their ice cream. You want the best available, not supermarket products!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We started the business almost by accident 8 years ago. I was looking for a bicycle for our youngest on a well known auction site and came across the Ice Cream Bike. The buy it now button beckoned and job done. My wife said ' You've bought what? What are we going to do with that?' 'A bit of fun' was my answer and getting on for 400 weddings, parties or company events we are still having it.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We don't tend to use many advertising platforms as so many events come from recommendation or word of mouth but Add to Event gave us a new dimension and a bigger audience. I've lost count of the events we have booked through here and all have been great. I'm not going to pick any one out as it's unfair to the others but let the fun continue.
