What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We would like to know the event date (sunny days are booked up quickly in this game!), how many guests you are catering for and the location of the event, and that's it. It would also be handy if you could tell us what sort of occasion it's for, as we like to dress our Poppups accordingly.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We may be biased, but we think we offer the best product (mult-award winning real diary ice cream made on the farm) and the best customer service (a friendly husband and wife team who have worked for Cheshire Farm Events for over 15 years). However - if we were to look for another ice cream provider for an occasion, we would want to know if we can we choose our own menu. Also if we can try a sample before committing? I would ask if there were any reviews from clients they've worked with in the past? Where is the ice cream made, and is it authentic real dairy ice cream? Can we keep the set-up for 24 hours in case our evening guests would like an ice cream, as well as the day guests? Will you cater to small party of only 10-15 people?

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Merry Poppups was born in 2016 (it's only a baby) after we were repeatedly asked at the farm if we could supply ice cream and and a set up for small private functions. It's not something we really did, as we were busy with big festivals, food festivals, Royal events and so on. But we thought what a shame it would be for our customers not to be able to enjoy their favourite ice cream on such a special day, so we changed things.

Now we can offer a number of different set ups to suit your occasion, from cute vintage style trikes to chunky rustic market barrows - and even an ice cream van with a jingle. For larger events we can provide trailers and inflatable scooping dens, all branded with the instantly recognisable Ice Cream Farm logo.
We have a dedicated events team based in Cheshire, and we're so excited to say that it has been in instant hit! Our email inbox is always full, with enquiries near and far, for the likes of weddings, parties in the park, charity events, 40th birthday parties, 10th birthday parties, 80th birthday parties and more!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

As we're new, and as it's currently snowing outside as I look through the window, we are yet to actually see through an event booked via Add to Event, however we have a number of bookings in the diary for Spring/Summer 2017 that were arranged through this platform and we CANNOT WAIT to enjoy our first Add to Event booking and achieve our first 5 star rating! (We're very confident!).
