What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
I would need to know the exact amount of guests attending, the location of the venue and the time I am required for. I would need to know if I had access to power and whether it was outdoors or in. With experience, I have found access into venues sometimes difficult, and if required to serve on the 1st floor the lifts not being big enough to fit one of my bikes.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When booking a provider, it is a must that he or she knows their product. Serving ice cream and also making it in front of guests is hugely important in understanding what gives and makes ice cream that little bit special.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
My business started 6 years ago. Being of Italian decent and working in the ice cream industry in my early days, I decided to go full circle and set up my business. I make people smile and enjoy their ice cream experience, and I really enjoy working at various venues.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Being part of Add to Event gives me options and opens up avenues I could not get anywhere else. It is competitive but it works for me. I have only these last 4 months really started to use the platform, and I am getting a 60% booking return. I have recommended the platform to other wedding suppliers. Add to Event is much more cost effective to me than wedding fairs and wedding magazines.
