What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide accurate quotations to a customer, we need the event date (to check availability), a brief description of where the event will take place (ie, indoor or outdoor, grass, or flags etc), if you are looking for a party package, hourly services or day hires. The number of guests and the average age of the guests.
From this information, we can put together a quote that will fit in with your event/party as best as we possibly can.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly you would want to see some examples of their work or the equipment they have available, you want to make sure the style/themes on offer fit in with your party/event needs. Ask the provider about any party packages or combo packages they might have available so you can add some extra fun and possibly save some money by getting a package deal. Check that the provider is insured and covers the area you live in.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Farrars Face Painting originally started out to help friends out with some entertainment at their kid's parties and to be able to do in-house entertainment for our own children's parties. We have since expanded the business to also offer inflatable hire so we can offer the full entertainment package for all your events/party needs,
I have a passion for drawing which is where my love for face painting actually started as it allowed me to be super expressive and my kids loved having their faces painted which was a huge bonus.
Now we have regular bookings for events in our local area and offer our services across the whole of Yorkshire offering fully party packages and hourly bookings so we can cater for your needs in the best way possible.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have just booked in our first booking through Add to Event for a bouncy castle hire, the quotation system is fantastic and gave me the majority of the information that I required right off the bat allowing me to give a simple and easy quote to the customer. Once I had quoted them I followed up with a quick phone call to first verify they were still looking to hire and secondly to confirm the final information that we needed to make sure the booking could go ahead.
The customer gave all the info we needed and then checked out our quote, let us know they were happy with the price and wished to go ahead. We dropped them a text with all the booking information and it was as easy as that.
Within 20 minutes of seeing the quote request, we had booked in our first customer and look forward to seeing them in a few weeks time. We are excited to keep growing our profile as we get some reviews in and keep getting more bookings the system is super easy to use and doesn't cost stupid amounts of money to send quotes.
