What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a quotation for your event, we would just need the event date and venue, the approximate number of guests you will be catering for, and if there are any special dietary requirements. Finally, is there parking for the trailer and is there power available. This will enable us to put together a custom competitive quotation for your special event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, I would ask the caterer about their menu, what type of fillings are available, are they homemade? Why choose these fillings? Are they popular fillings and can you do something special for a certain event like a stew for a medieval day? I would also want to know what oven is being used to cook the jacket potatoes and how the food is kept hot or cold.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
One Potato Two was born after seeing a converted horse trailer serving coffee. I love coffee and I love jacket potatoes, and bringing the two together was just the ticket for me. I am a people person and really enjoy the mix of different people you meet along the way. The idea of being mobile is so that you can go anywhere you wish with the trailer, the shabby chic look is great for absolutely any occasion.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have had so many bookings through Add to Event (which another food trader told me about), and I haven't looked back since. I can't name a favourite, as they have all been so brilliant and the feedback received has been amazing including being asked to go back the following year which has been a massive boost. I have so many more booked for 2018 which without Add to Event wouldn't have been possible. 2018 is looking very good for my spuds.
