What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
I need to know the date and location, size of the venue, type of venue, the average number of attendees, whether it's indoor-outdoor and what your budget is. Do you require lighting as well?
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you are looking for Karaoke, make sure that the provider doesn't require internet access to run their set. This usually results in buffering during songs which ruins a good party. Also at least 2 microphones should be expected and a good quality sound system.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I have over 25 years of experience as a Karaoke DJ serving pubs, weddings, cruises and I have also worked as a radio DJ for an online BBC station, Radio Lovely, in 2006.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I DJ'd a party in 2019 (just before lockdown). It was a 40th Birthday party in a garden. I enjoyed it so much and got on well with the hosts. They have asked me to come back in 2022 for another birthday party!!
