What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To give the best possible quote we need to know the date of the event, this is a must!
Where is the event to be held? Putting out the right size show for the venue in question, and finding out as much information as possible is crucial.
How long the DJ is required for? When a customer enquires it's essential to know the exact time of finishing to quote correctly.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask your provider lots of questions and discuss as much in detail as possible. Look up reviews and comments on their services.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started Djing when I was a teenager I've always loved music, playing my 45's in my bedroom, making tape recordings for my family and friends. It was then when my mum bought me a twin PAL record deck (second hand of course).
I made all my lighting fresh from the start I had a fantastic Set up that I was proud of I went out and played all of the very best of my music, I didn't know much about indie-funk or grunge drum n bass (i still don't haha!) but I played what I knew which got people on the floor.
Now I still do the same as back then it does not fail me, There has been an occasion when people have not danced and thought I'd lost the touch but no... not everyone dances all the time if they're not in the mood at least I know now it's not me ha!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have had quite a few bookings through Add to Event I don't ask people to leave reviews, it's up to them if they like to, many reviews I've already had have been enough for me to know I've had good clientele over the years.
