What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to be able to provide a comprehensive quote to our customers, we will need the event date and venue. The type of event they are hosting and also the estimated number of guests they will be expecting is also key to know. It would be also useful, to know how many hours they would want our services for and an estimated start and finish time. From this, we can then give an accurate quote straight away.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, I would ask the supplier what is included in packages being offered. Different providers supply different types of deals. If the hirer has PAT tested the Light Up Letters, for example, and also holds PLI, this is very important in my line of business. Ask the provider if they can offer discounts, if more than one item was to be hired and if there is a delivery charge.

Starlight Events Kent was born out of love for providing the wow factor for our customers events. We can provide a one-stop-shop for all entertainment needs. This idea has been set up, so future customers can hire everything from the one person. We know how stressful arranging a wedding can be, so why deal with 2 or 3 providers when you can deal with just the 1!

We have had lots of enquires through Add to Event. One booking that we had, was for a wedding at a fabulous venue. We styled it with our magic mirror and giant LOVE letters, DJ & LED dancefloor. The bride and groom was really impressed, and we have had may other bookings off the back of this one. I would say that our type of business is more of a visual one, as once people can see what you can offer they tell their friends and they go onto book. I would definitely recommend Add to Event as it is a very easy platform to navigate and I enjoy meeting new customers.
