Big Letters hire out giant 4ft letters for any event. Based in Dorset but will deliver to anywhere in the UK.
They have any letters for any event which are white or rustic and are fitted with multicoloured LED lights.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

At Big Letters it's very simple, all we want to know is which letters you require and where's the venue. We have all the letters for all the events. Most of our letters are white but we have a growing collection of rustic letters too. They all stand at 4ft tall, they have multi-coloured LED bulbs in them, and come with a remote control so that you can choose the lighting colour that's best for your event or set them to disco mode for a party.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

No doubt you will find many providers of 'LOVE' letters around your local area, but not all letters are made equal. We have ALL the letters - and some! Ours are 4ft tall, a minimum 3ft wide, and 1ft deep. They are free-standing units, they will be ok indoors or out and no matter how many letters you decide to have, you will only ever need one power socket - some questions to think about when shopping around.
The reaction we get a lot when delivering/setting up our letters at various venues across the UK is "Wow, they're big!". Well, the clue's in the name of the company, but just consider the size of your venue and where the letters will be situated.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I wanted to create a business where I could incorporate all my skills and enjoy what I do. I enjoy carpentry, I am a qualified Electrical Engineer, I am a web developer and I love helping people. So, when I saw this business model being developed elsewhere, I thought, I could do that - so I did! I created a website, started taking orders and building these letters in my workshop. With no plans or drawings to work from I just started cutting, screwing, gluing and wiring these creations from raw materials. With each new letter created and marketed, new bookings were being requested and the business grew.
BigLetters began in 2018 and since then we have supplied our letters to many weddings, baby showers, gender reveal parties, birthday parties, corporate events and even a few festivals.
I really enjoy making them, but I mostly enjoy seeing people's faces when they see them and interact with them.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We are new to Add To Event, but since joining, we have had a few events booked and we look forward to the days when we go and set these big letters up for our newfound customers. The first one will be at a festival in Salisbury at the end of this month called BosFest, so look out for our big letters there.
