What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide the best service possible to our customers, it's essential that you are clear and concise in your request for quotation. The more information an event organiser can supply the more accurate and detailed our quotations can be. For example "Light Up Letters Quotation" the most crucial information is your venue details, the location and the exact letters you want to hire. However, if you had a theme or colour scheme this can be more selective and offers you a better chance for a more accurate quotation and also only the right suppliers will respond.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always consider any legal or contractual obligations your venue may request, especially in terms of PAT test certification for electrical equipment and Public Liability Insurance. It's essential that your venue and your guests are kept safe during the event and I would always recommend asking for this type of documentation from suppliers. Good Suppliers will always have this. I've been at events where the venue has requested the supplier to produce his PAT test certificate and because they couldn't, were not allowed to set up which was very upsetting for the party host and ruined their event.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Vintage V was born out of my own passion for designing products and having a natural flare for being creative. Having been in engineering for over 25 years I felt I wanted to be more creative and create more visual and colourful products that could be adapted for all different types of events. I've always been customer-focused whilst designing products and found a niche for designing and creating some of my own Wedding and Event products to offer a unique point of sale to my customers without breaking their budgets.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Well... I have only been a member for less than two weeks (Since January 2022 at the time of writing this...) we've been selected for 3 events already and we received our first 5-star review after just a week! What I love about this site is the level of detail you receive before you decide to quote, the flexibility to change your delivery radius, the simplicity in creating product templates and I was amazed how many opportunities to quote you receive on a daily basis. When I first joined I wanted to quote for everything but the best part of this platform is you can literally choose the best events for your business. I have already recommended this to friends in the industry and hopefully, they will come along for the ride like I did...
