What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a price we need the date and times, Venue and if you want a photo Guest Book. I research venues to make sure access is easy and step/stair-free before taking a booking. I offer links back to my choices so you can see what you are buying before you pay any money across. I like to have some dialogue so that we are both in complete agreement on what I'm providing.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Photobooths can be separated into two types - the ones you climb inside - takes a head and shoulders only picture, or ones you stand in front of and takes a full length picture and is better for group shots. For most events you need to know what the personalisation will be, is there a wide choice of Print Border styles, are the Guest Books available in different styles with your details on them, can the screen content be changed to match your style e.g. Classy, elegant or Fun and Cheesy, "in the style of Disney", Halloween or Christmas specific content, something for Kids etc.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

FotoboothUK was born from my experience in providing Chocolate Fountains and other add ons to events, my love of photography, and I wanted a fun business.
After some research I found the Mirror Booth with the best and most flexible software, along with 24/7 support so if I have an issue at an event they dial in and fix it immediately - not happened yet in 4 years but its a safety net. This allows me to provide a better-personalised experience for my customers.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had many bookings through Add to Event and always recommend anyone contacting me directly to use this site if I can't satisfy their requirement.
It's good to know what the details are and what customers are looking for before I provide a price. I've done big and small parties from this site, but I'd say some of the smaller family events are among my most memorable - although the Student event I did where my joking "what about a human pyramid" was met with "Oh OK - Ta-Da" (no students were hurt in the process).
