What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote, I need to know the age range and approximate number/s of attendees, preferred performance option, whether it's a walk-around or stage performance, the preferred performance date and times, the full event location (inc postcode), contract signatory name and their position, best contact name and mobile number for the day, any special needs or requirements I may need to take into consideration at the event. I would also like confirmation that free parking / or pre-paid parking provision will be made at the venue.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask various magicians what magic is and you will find there is no consensus in agreement! This is because there are many forms of magic, which themselves can have differing approaches and thinking associated with their performance. Now ask a spectator what magic is and most will base their interpretations on what they have seen. So what makes a good magician? I suggest it is a performer who is knowledgeable and constantly strives to better themselves holistically in their craft, who can create rapport and connect with an audience and who delivers a positive, memorable experience for the participant or spectators.

Personally, my purpose for entertaining is to make people feel better. I want audiences to relax, laugh and enjoy being entertained - as well as amazed. Most importantly, making them the stars of the show is key for me.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I am fascinated in people - so to have the opportunity to entertain someone or make their lives better in any way is a gift. It was through the opportunity to be mentored by one of Israel's most renowned performers that I moved from a general hobbyist to physical performer.

I now perform for all audience types and ages. From school and college shows to family and social events, (such as parties, weddings, fetes, festivals) through to corporate engagements (from staff days to brand initiatives). I also provide tailored educational and business workshops based around magic and psychology for all types of establishments, organisations. charities and government agencies. Fortunately, I’m a popular performer who benefits much from word of mouth too - so the sooner in advance in booking me the better!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have seen the performance industry change much over the years, and been fortunate enough to have had a number of bookings through Add to Event. Some of the most memorable have been the smaller engagements - such as house and garden parties. Experience has taught me to learn to creatively to adapt to size and available facilities of an event environment. There will always be a workaround if not enough space appears apparently available.
