What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and a potential venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable quote for you.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly always check the performer's VIDEOS from previous events - it's very common for a magician to create very good looking promo videos but to really understand a performers quality look for video testimonial and full performance videos (not just well-edited videos)
Carefully check the performer on google and check they have 15+ positive reviews on google recommendations - it is very common for a magician to have partners/friends and parents write 5-star reviews to boost their perceived image.
Where possible, try to have a conversation on the phone with your magician before making a booking, it's very easy to create a well-crafted email template, but to ensure you are getting the person you want it is essential to speak on the phone to really get a feel for your performer.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have had a passion for creating memorable events since a very young age and began my career in magic 15 years ago. Although I am a magician, what I really do is add exceptional value to events way beyond just tricks, and work with event planners to create an experience for guests they will not forget. My passion is not just in entertaining guests, but to work with event planners to create amazing events - being a part of this is my real passion.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

99% of my booking up to this point have been through repeat bookings and recommendations, and although I have not been using this platform for long it has been a great way to meet new clients. Last week I performed at a fantastic event booked through this platform and received 5-star feedback on all of my services. I will be recommending Add to Event to others in my industry. Its a very good platform for both service providers and clients.
