What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

As an experienced event professional, I need the following to best help you. The quickest and easiest way to do this is to drop a short email and arrange a chat.
1. The Date and Time (this can be provisional).
2. The location.
3. Tell me about your event and the problem you are trying to solve.
It's quick, easy and friendly and with my experience and your dream, you'll get something wonderful.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Advice to save you money and get the results you deserve:
1. "There's nothing more expensive than a cheap magician". is an industry saying. Bad entertainment will undermine all the expensive other things you have prepared for your event.
2. Proven independent reviews (Google, Facebook) are worth much more than reviews on their website.
3. Check if they have over 100 performance photos. If they don't they're probably not very experienced
4. Be sceptical of awards. I have 2 (Best party entertainment and best wedding entertainment) but not all awards are equal.
5. As a guide under 50 people, 1 - 2 hours, 100 people, 2 - 3 hours, 200 plus people, all-day

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I used to work abroad a lot but was getting bored with my job and bored of airports so I started teaching myself magic and entertaining my clients with it.
I then left my job and became a full-time magician. I love entertaining and making people smile and laugh and have been doing so for over 20 years.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I suppose in some ways it's always the most recent party and the reactions from it!
