What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

The more information you can provide the better!
The most important things are; the event date, the location, the type of event, a brief description of what you are looking for and the time/s you would like to book.
Given the above information, I can decide if I am a good fit for the event and give a quotation. I then prefer to make contact and really get to know what I can do to make the event really special.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Recommendations from people you know and trust is always a good place to start. Look for good ratings and good reviews for the provider. I would always recommend you speak directly to the performer before finally committing to the booking, this way you can get a really good feeling if they are going to be right for your event.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have always had a love of magic, music and entertaining people. It has always been a dream to perform on stage and I consider myself very lucky I am able to do this for a living. I really enjoy card and mind magic and prefer to perform this area of the art. However, I also perform the more 'classic' routines like Silks, Sponge Ball and Rope magic etc... I love learning new things and am always working on new ideas and improvements in my skills and performances.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I had a couple of bookings through Add to Event and they have all gone extremely well! One was a New Years Eve party in a large Ballroom and I was booked to go around the table to provide magical entertainment between the cabaret acts. I was booked until 11pm, but was having such a great time I left well after midnight.

Another booking was a corporate event for a company based near Oxford. A summer event located in a beautiful converted farm. I was booked to provide mix and mingle magic during drinks at the reception and while people were socialising. It was a beautiful day and certainly an event to remember.
