What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We like to get an idea of the type of event planned, so the event date, an idea of the number of guests/numbers, the size of marquee/area to be floored out or the numbers for furniture required. Where the event is taking place and the surface type. ie grass or hard standing. Then we can plan the event pricing and it starts the ball rolling!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be clear about what you would like for your event, don't be afraid to ask the provider questions about their services?.
Tell the provider your thoughts on what you'd like as that is very helpful. Put as much detail on the initial request to see if they have availability and hopefully provide what you need for your perfect day!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Tentz Marquee Hire started for me back in the year 2000 by chance, I was working part-time for the owner of the business when he came to me and asked if I would be interested in buying the business! I got a loan and it all started there!
We run the business from and alongside our farm.
We have family and great staff to provide a great package from planning to the perfect day.
The attention to detail means everything and we've had lots of happy customers over the years.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had quite a lot of successful bookings through Add to Event, it's a great way for us to get the leads we need to get the important work to keep the business running. Whether it was a lovely christening we did with the full package of marquee, flooring, up lights, tables and chairs to a recent one with interlocking plastic flooring for an event at a lovely stately home wedding venue!
