What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Typically I need to know the number and what other equipment they may want. I also really want to get an idea of the feel of the event they are looking for, do they want a traditional or festival style wedding. I would also like to know their budget as we are towards the more expensive side of the business, I could waste a lot of credits with customers who have a different budget in mind.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would suggest they speak with them and not just rely on email, you are more likely to get a feel for the company and the service they are likely to provide if you do.
If you want the extras, i.e. tables and chairs, then ask, you may get them cheaper if you are happy to look, but we can take the hassle out of it, but the choice is genuinely yours as the margin of profit for us is minimal.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We started the business as we only got married in the last 5 years and thought the straightjacket placed upon us was really unreasonable. We wanted to offer a service where we would do it all for you or just provide the canvas and you could provide all the rest yourself.
Actually stepping back and seeing a professional product, well done and a customer happy counts for a lot.
