What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
As a marquee event supplier the more we know the more accurate quote we can deliver with none of those nasty surprises. Usually, the first things to consider are the number of guests, the dates and the venue location these are the three important quoting factors to base a quote from.
Knowing the type of event and the style you would like to create is also important as we can then direct you different types of marquees and furnishings.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My first piece of advice would do some research relating to the type of event you would like to create. Once you have a good idea it is then easier to focus in on the type of supplier you would ideally need to successfully create your event.
Meeting up with the supplier will always give you a clear idea of whether you are both on the same wavelength and a good time to discuss your plans and any limitations they may have.

DC Marquees started with a desire to create unique outdoor structures. At the heart of this is customer satisfaction and going above and beyond to make any event a great success. We wanted to build an event marquee business that not only builds fantastic structures but works on the understanding of great customer partnership.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
A standout booking came from a couple who were hosting a marquee wedding on their farm. From the initial design of 2 marquees, it just grew and grew to culminate eventually to 12 marquees all seamlessly put together, with every eventuality thought about for that day. The planning took days and building the unique structures took a week. The day went off amazingly I was there to make sure of it!
