What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For Celebration Marquees to submit a comprehensive quotation to a customer, ideally we need to know the event date, type of event and location, along with an estimated number of guests or attendees. We need to know if the event is being held inside the marquee or over a combination of venues on site, to enable us to consider lighting, seating, staging and several other factors. Then we can review our knowledge in order to put together a suitable package for the special occasion.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are so many companies on the market that offer the same product or service and quite often you can only go on your own knowledge and previous experiences. However, you should never be afraid to ask plenty of questions about services you are looking to hire. The cheapest price is not always the best price and quite often something crucial might be left out to save money, but not in the client's best interest.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Celebration Marquees is a small family-run marquee hire business, located in Barnsley, but covering the Yorkshire and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on our service and ability to work with clients, both on their budget, but also the safety and appearance of the event, ensuring to make their day as special as possible. We wanted to create a business that is customer focused and built around the client's requirements.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have taken a booking for a wedding through Add to Event, and it was a great success. The customer was delighted with the marquee and the service they were offered from Celebration. They were surprised at how many extra services we offered and provided and at such short notice, due to being let down elsewhere.
