What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide an accurate quote, we need to know the service the customer is looking for, the venue, and ideally a date (if known). It also helps if they can tell us an approximate number of guests and how long they want us for. We can then put together a package to suit their needs.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you're looking for an Archery provider, the most important thing is going to be safety. Check that they are using qualified instructors - ideally with Archery GB qualifications. Make sure that they have public liability insurance. And check what equipment they will be using. A good supplier will always be happy to take the time to answer any questions you may have.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Moving Mountains was started by two friends who believe passionately in getting both young people and adults outdoors and active. Originally we started as a provider of activities and programmes to schools, but have since expanded to offer a range of services including our mobile archery range. As we have grown, we have continued to focus on that passion for the outdoors.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Add To Event has been a great addition to our business advertising. We've received a number of enquiries for archery at weddings and corporate events, and these enquiries continue to come in on a regular basis. It's great that we only pay when we get a request that we can quote for - and not for any requests that we aren't able to service.
We're currently working with clients to provide archery for their forthcoming events, and look forward to future bookings coming in. As an example, we are working to provide Archery at a wedding in Clevedon, with 2 hours of archery between the ceremony and the Wedding Breakfast.
