What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To be able to quote accurately, what the customer wants always comes first. It's not about you, it is the client's event! Venue location, accessibility, guest numbers and specific drink requirements are always helpful. We can then put the right team together for your needs.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask about minimum spends and hidden charges. Some offer "gimmicks" such as a free first drink or money back but, as we all know, there's no such thing as a free lunch! Most companies are extremely honest and ethical but there are those who are not insured, not properly registered and have poor quality product or service, so it's very much buyer beware here.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Having over 20 years of hospitality experience and a team with a wide range of bar and club experience, this provided inspiration for the business. We are quite discerning about who we work with and this has helped retain many corporate clients and gain referrals and repeat custom. Our team and event managers can then tailor ideas to exact specifications or themes.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have received quite a few bookings through Add to Event but the most noticeable was for a Local Council. We received the enquiry, responded quickly as always and delivered a great event for everyone and it was a pleasure to do even though the temperature hit 30+ degrees - the beer was ice cold!
