What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To provide an accurate, competitive quote we need to know the date of the event, time of the event, and details of the venue - for example if power and water are available. How many guests are expected is also a bonus.
I would always take 10% off the amount of people you are expecting. For example at one event we had, we were expecting 100 people and only 80 turned up. Take this into account when you do your planning - you may not need as many supplies as you think, and this can be a lifesaver if you are working to a tight budget.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask as many questions as possible! The more you know, the better of an idea you will have of if they are right for your event or not. Ask if they have a history in events as not everyone has prior experience, which is essential for larger events. As for us, we have even been contracted to events for her Majesty the Queen!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Prosecco Pronto was started after I was headhunted from my day job to travel with a major retail company dealing in the sponsorship marketing and events field. I saw a niche and jumped at it! I've made it very clear to all of my staff that everything we do is with a smile!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We recently completed a booking through Add to Event where we had over 80 people in attendance, The event went off without a hitch and everybody was left very happy. We are very much enjoying Add to Event and look forward to further bookings.
