What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to customer, we would require the event date, a brief overview of the type of event taking place, the estimated number of guests, the location and type of venue being used and if it is indoors or out, as well as the type of drinks package required i.e cash bar, pre-paid bar, and if the booking requires staffing and additional products/services. From this, we can use all of our experience to formulate a suitable and bespoke quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would ask the customer what specifically they are looking for and what budget they have to work with. I would ask if they want any particular extras provided such as branding, bespoke menus and/or equipment to support their needs. After all that I would highlight to the customer the need to have their event catered for as best as possible and the fact that providers should endeavour to do this.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Vantage Point Events was created by two friends, Grant & Matthew. They both have a passion for the service sector and have experience of working with people on a daily basis being a teacher and brand account manager respectively. They have both always aspired to run a business and be in control of their own destinies, hence purchasing a Citroen H-Van to be used as a mobile bar.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had a number of bookings from this platform and are extremely impressed by the formality and professionalism of the process. Our more recent booking was an 18th birthday party where we helped out a family in need of a bar at short notice. They were very impressed by the service they received and are using us again in the future.
