Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Boutique Bars is a mobile bar hire service that caters for weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, festivals and more. The bespoke and unique bar has travelled across the country to service events.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Firstly we need to know where the event is to ensure we cover the area. Next we need to know how many guests are expected for the event and finally the timings of the event to so we know if the event will be held over a few hours, a full day or even a few days. We can then put together a fully inclusive quote with no hidden extras.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We would always advise opting for a mobile bar provider who runs their business full time, as this shows their commitment to each event. Ask to see drink menus and ensure you ask for any special requests, ask the bar supplier if they have worked at your venue or have experience in an event like yours before, a quality supplier will have a wealth of experience and will be able to offer advice. It is always worth checking if the supplier has any requirements such as access to power, water etc.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have grown up in the events and mobile bar sector working within my family business part time from a very young age. At 21, I moved away from my native Northumberland to London and managed cocktail and wine bars in the city, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I moved back to the North East after a few years and set up Boutique Bars with the aim of offering a high end mobile bar service for people in the North East with an emphasis on service and quality.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event has a great presence on Google which is paramount for us to reach a large volume of customers. Over the years we have had the pleasure of working on some incredible events, from huge birthday blowouts to celebrity weddings.
