What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For Pastini Queen to provide the right quote for our customers we will need to know where the event is and the type of event. Next, it's the number of guests and if there are any special dietary requirements. Finally, payment method, budget spend per head and the type of venue that the event is to be held in and if there are water and power supplied. I prefer to talk to my customers rather than email as it gives me more of an insight into what our customers really like and it also gives customers the ability to ask questions there and then.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would always look at the caterer's profile page, website and any reviews, as this will tell you more about the provider and it will give you an idea of what their ethos is. Then ask about the process or procedure for the day of the event, this will give you an idea of how professionally the event will be run and if it fits with your event plans. Ask if the price and if this includes everything, and if there is any flexibility with costs and the menu they have as we always try to be as flexible as we can, within reason of course!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I love food and I love to cook. I have a passion for Italian food and when I started there were no other pasta vendors on the market. We serve homemade food which is made with love and is hearty, nutritious and above all delicious. Our pasta dishes appeal to everyone and our 'Create Your Own Dish' is unique to Pastini Queen!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We provided our 'Create your own Dish' for a festival type wedding from our mini marquee which was really relaxed and fun last summer. We fed 250 people and some of them more than once! The kids loved the way they could choose what they wanted in their food ... as did the adults! I would always recommend Add to Event to any caterer as the number of requests that come through is great and it's a simple platform to use.
