What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To offer a quote we need to know the location of the event, what time you want us to arrive to set up equipment, the operating times for the event and what time we will be able to leave the site. With this basic information, we can offer a quote for most events. If the event is more complicated due to a very long day, setup on earlier days or a multi-day booking, then we will need to discuss the details further.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When hiring any equipment like a mobile climbing wall I would always ask for Annual Inspection certificates and if they are covered by independent inspections, for example, ADIPS (Amusement Device Inspection Procedures Scheme)
Ensure the contract works for you (as the customer) as well as for the company you are hiring from. Make sure there are references to how and when they can cancel a booking on you, along with understanding the cancellation policy that you are agreeing to, just in case you need to cancel the booking.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We have run indoor climbing centres since 1994 and moving into offering mobile climbing walls was a natural progression for us. Our first wall was purchased in 2001, we are now the UK's largest mobile wall operator with 6 walls and a mobile cave. We operated at over 350 events last year. All our staff are climbers so they are passionate about helping people climb the walls.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have only been using Add to Event for a short while, as one of the ways we attract leads for events. In that time we have picked up a few interesting bookings, taking us all over the country. There are a number of operators across the country and we are always looking at new ways to reach customers. Add to Event is a new innovative way to reach new clients.
