What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For me to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the kind of music required be it themed or genres, the estimated number of guests, and potential venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event, any parking restrictions. Then I can decide on what equipment to bring.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, ask the provider about the product they are offering, How much experience they have and what kind of reviews do they have.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Oasis Roadshow started in 1983, I was 19 and started as a roadie for a friend, I was into music myself and decided to set up on my own. I ran it till 1988 as I moved out of the area.
I decided to revive Oasis Roadshow in 2009 and I have recently started using Add to events and I'm liked by several existing agents who use my services and I get repeated jobs from clients friends and family. I also have regular pub gigs.
I offer discos, video discos and Karaoke.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I've just started to grow my reviews received on Add to, and I'm getting accepted for jobs for up to 8 quotes being received by the client, people are choosing my experience, good quality equipment and value for money for booking me.
My first booking was great and it showed by the review left.
