What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To help us provide an accurate quote we will require the following information;
Date and time of the event, you will also need to confirm the earliest setup time.
Location of the event, this will be the full address, venue contact details if available and venue specifics such as what room the event will be in, if there are any steps to the venue and if there are any venue specific requirements.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Not all mobile DJs are made equal. We would suggest you look into exactly what sort of DJ you require for your event. Some will cater to a broad audience such as wedding and birthdays others are more suited to playing in club environments. Do you need your DJ to supply their own audio equipment and lighting? If you do is it up to a professional standard? Sadly it can be very hard to tell from descriptions unless you know about it already. Check out pictures of DJs setups, look out for presentation details and also don't be afraid to ask if their equipment has undergone a portable appliance test (PAT).
Finally, does the DJ have the experience needed to perform at your event? You can check out their reviews or if you need more reassurance simply ask them how they got into DJing and how long they have been doing it, that should give you a good idea.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
DiscoPrime is a Leicestershire based mobile disco with full DJ and Karaoke services. We were founded in 2008 when it was my own wedding coming up and I couldn't justify the cost of a mobile DJ at the time. I put together some basic audio equipment and lighting and put together a premixed playlist from the night. After many glowing reviews from our guests about how good the night was I decided to go professional. Fast forward to the present and our equipment and skills have grown to put us at a truly professional level. We still believe that a disco shouldn't cost the earth. We don't claim to be the cheapest (as we probably aren't) however we believe we offer the very best service for the best value for money.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Add to Event has provided some great mobile disco bookings. Our most recent was for a bride who had thought her venue was providing the entertainment as part of her package but it turned out at the last minute that it didn't.
After sparking up a conversation on Add to Event we figured out exactly what they wanted for their evening and also what they needed for the daytime event as the bride hadn't taken that into account. A full PA was provided with mics and background music for the daytime and then a full mobile disco was used for the evening with us providing wireless mics to allow a couple of guests to sing live through.
