What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To be able to provide you with a quote, we need various details such as the date, times for which the disco will run, venue details, approximate number of guests and music requirements.

Additional services can be added at an extra charge (sweets/candy cart available). Price is subject to requirements.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When hiring a a mobile disco, I always recommend using a professional who is insured and plays the music you want to hear, using good quality sound and lighting equipment (PAT tested).

Book a DJ who understands the music which you are after. Do you want a house music DJ, or a pop
music DJ?

I've heard many stories from clients who have not been happy with disco services which they have used, i.e. won't take requests, old/tired looking equipment, no microphone, playing unsuitable music, scruffy dress code (for weddings etc).

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Mystery Discos started in 2012 following the purchase of cheap kit to provide a disco in my back garden for a family party. I've always been interested in music and gadgets, so decided to try this for myself.

From that first disco in 2012, I decided to venture out and advertise my services. Upgrading my equipment over the last few years to the modern setup I use today.

I now provide a wide range of disco, from children's birthdays to weddings.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event is now one of the primary services which I subscribe to. I like how leads are received, and the prices are always reasonable. It allows me to create templates and reply to events which are suitable to me. I would certainly recommend it to others in my profession.
